Classification-Hum…if it's been about D/J before, odds are it's about D/J now!

Disclaimer-Okay, put yourself in my place. You're a 16 year old girl, witty, charming, slightly neurotic, self-conscious, and pretty (and oh-so-modest ;). Let's say your name is Katy (pronounced either Katie or Catty, for the record, it doesn't matter, you answer to both.) and your nicknames are Catty Katy and Chatty Katy. Basically you're normal, just like every other non-snob in high school. So you write every once in a while, while doing the juggling act of school, a job, and a social life that involves being in love and practically stalking a senior boy who has no idea you exist while your best guy friend rolls his eyes and tells you to get over it. You enjoy it, you get good feedback. But then comes *insert evil them music of choice here, I prefer Darth Vader's march* the disclaimers. As if being a teenager isn't complicated enough, now you have to worry about lawyers being on your back. Now, Mr. Williamson's a cool dude, he was a teenager once, so he probably understands where I'm coming from. So, at the risk of being sued for my CD collection, I'm going to skip this part. Mr. Williamson, if you're listening, don't sue me. Thanks much!

Summary-Last time on *The Dim, Brainless, and the Surgically Enhanced.*
Megan, Jen's sister from New York, who Jen would rather forget, made an unexpected appearance in Capeside, to make Jen's life an even bigger hell. Dawson, the buff blond film fanatic has hatched a plan to reunite his drifting parents. Doug and Pacey, two brothers who would rather forget each other, share a brief bonding moment. What does Megan have planned for Jen? Where is Valerie in all this? Whatever happened to Cliff? What's with all the what questions? All this and more on *The Dim, Brainless, and the Surgically Enhanced.*

There I go jumping before the gunshot has gone off
Slap me with a splintered ruler
And it would knock me to the floor if I wasn't there already
If only I could hunt the hunter
And all I really want is some patience
A way to calm the angry voice
And all I really want is deliverance
Do I wear you out?
You must wonder why I'm relentless and all strung out I'm consumed by the chill of solitary
I'm like Estella
I like to reel it in and then spit it out I'm frustrated by your apathy
-Alanis Morissette "All I Really Want"

"So I lure them out to the ruins, where the trap has been set, and let the magic take over," Dawson said, beaming at his plan.

Joey looked at him doubtfully. "I dunno Dawson," she said, "I've seen some of your plans in action…"

"Just let them work it out, man," Pacey said, stirring the food on his cafeteria tray, "and would someone explain to me exactly why they called this gray sludge "Turkey Surprise," when there is clearly no meat in this?"

"There's meat in it," Joey said, "see those little brown chunks?"

"So what's the rest of it?" Pacey asked, making a face.

"That's the surprise," Joey said.

Dawson groaned. "Our first pointless conversation of the day. How wonderful."

Jen walked over to the table carrying her tray, looking around like she was afraid someone would attack her.

"Who are you looking for," Joey asked curiously.

"Hmmm?" Jen said, snapping out of it, "Oh. Have you guys seen a tall blond around that resembles me somewhat?"

"You mean me?" said a voice from behind them. Jen jumped slightly and turned to face Megan, who was wearing Jen's favorite blue dress. "Hi sis," Megan said sweetly.

"Guys, this is my sister Megan," Jen said unenthusiastically, "Megan, this is Joey, Pacey, and Dawson."

"Nice to meet you," Megan said, smiling broadly, "I'm so happy to meet some of Jen's friends. Mum and Daddy back in New York were afraid Jen wasn't fitting in here. I was worried too. You have no idea how much I care about Jen."

Joey thought she heard Jen mumble something, but she couldn't quite make it out. Joey smiled at Megan. She seemed nice enough. But she got the feeling that there was something more to this from the way Jen was acting. Usually, Jen would be smiling and laughing, but she kept glaring at Megan and looking like she could just snap her neck. Something wasn't quite right.

Oh well, Joey thought, I'll figure it out later.

Abby shook her head. Amazing. Jen just didn't get any breaks. Abby already knew all about Megan and what she was up to. She had her connections, she knew Megan and Jen weren't exactly buddy-buddy.

Abby squinted at Megan. Just what was she hoping to gain from this little thing? In the long run, blackmailing Jen wouldn't do anything….would it?

Megan was unlocking the door to Grams's house, when she heard someone calling her. Turning around, she saw a very angry Billy walking over to her.

"What the hell are you trying to pull, Megan?" he demanded angrily.

"Billy," Megan said, putting on her innocent 'who me?' face, "It's so nice of you to come visit me."

"I didn't come to visit you," Billy said, "I want my car back, you took it."

"I borrowed it," Megan said sweetly, "I did tell you. But you were blown out of your mind so it doesn't surprise me that you forgot."

"Well, just give me my car back so I can leave," Billy said, holding out his hand.

"Have you seen Jen?" Megan asked.

"No, and I don't plan on it," Billy said grumpily, "she's made it abundantly clear that she wants to forget I ever existed."

"Oh no," Megan said, putting on a caring face, "she misses you, I know she does. All she does is talk about how much she misses Billy, and how well he treated her, and how she wishes she had one more chance to…" Megan trailed off for the benefit.

Billy bought it. "She said that?" he asked.

Megan nodded. "And more."

Billy smiled. "I'll go see her now. Thanks Megan."

"No problem," Megan said, turning to walk inside.

"Oh, and Megan," Billy said.

"Yes?" Megan said, turning and batting her eyes.

"My keys?" Billy asked, holding out his hands. Megan pouted. Damn. "Here," she said, reluctantly holding them out.

"My sister is such a pain," Jen said, as Cliff stroked her hair, "I mean, it's like she wants what I have or something."

"Don't worry about it," Cliff said, "she's just finding herself. She'll let up sooner or later."

Jen bit her lip. If he only knew. "Somehow I doubt that," Jen mumbled.

"Jen!" someone called.

Jen and Cliff turned to see a dark haired boy in a leather jacket pull up in a convertible.

"Oh no," Jen said, frowning.

"Jenny," Billy said, smiling at her, "I was hoping to see you." Billy then noticed Cliff. "Hi, Billy Conrad, who are you?"

"Cliff Elliot," Cliff said, giving Billy a strange look.

"That's fascinating," Billy said, not really caring, "Listen, Jenny. I ran into Megan and she said you were down here…"

"Megan," Jen said, "of course."

"…and she said you wanted to see me." Billy finished.

"Well she was wrong," Jen said, "How many times do I have to say that you are the last person I want to see. Go home, Billy."

"Yeah, I was," Billy said, "but then I remembered that last time I was in Capetown, or whatever this town is, that I never saw the town. So I'm gonna stay for a few days."

"Fine," Jen said, "just stay away from me. Let's go Cliff," Jen said, grabbing his hand and walking away.

"We'll see, Jenny," Billy said, watching her as she left with Cliff, "We'll see."

Jen stormed into the room Megan was staying in. "What the hell are you trying to pull?" Jen demanded angrily.

"Thanks for knocking," Megan mumbled, avoiding the question.

"I just had a run-in with Billy," Jen said, "apparently you fed some ideas into his head."

"No, the ideas were already there," Megan said, "I just fueled them."

"Are you trying to hurt me," Jen asked angrily.

Megan whirled around to face Jen, an angry glare in her eyes. "What do you think?" she said.

"I think you're trying to take over my life," Jen said, her eyes shining stormily.

"Get over yourself," Megan said, turning back around.

"I think you don't hate me as much as you are jealous of me," Jen said, "I'm pulling my life together when yours is falling apart and you just can't stand that. You want me to suffer. And when I refuse to do that, you turn to taking me down with you."

"I'd be careful what you say to me," Megan said, "I could easily spill a little info…"

"SO SPILL IT!" Jen yelled, "I don't care anymore. I HATE YOU!"

Grams stormed in. "What in Heaven's name is going on in here?" she asked.

Jen and Megan looked at Grams. "Just an argument," Jen said.

"Well that little argument better tone down or both you girls will be in trouble," Grams said, walking out.

When she was gone, Jen turned back to Megan. "I don't really care what you do," Jen said, "because I hate you. You're a conniving, vindictive little witch, and that's why nobody loves you. You'd better change who you are because one day you'll wake up and there'll be no one there for you." With that, Jen stormed out, leaving behind Megan, who was beginning to cry.
